Emily is one of the directors of Connections along with her husband, Mike. They have been involved in many types of ministry as a couple since they were married in 1997. She and Mike started coming to Epic in November of 2015 out of a longing to be involved in a church within their community. When she first came to Epic, Emily was a volunteer in Children’s Ministry and is looking forward to getting to know more of the Epic community by serving in Connections. Emily is excited about the opportunity to help others connect to each other and grow in deeper connection with God. As we do life and spend time together, we are constantly learning and growing. The Mission Statement at Epic – Living In + Living Out God’s Love is all about connecting. That is what drew Emily and her family here and that is what she is humbled to be able to pass on to others as she comes alongside and helps support Connections at Epic and throughout the community. Emily was born and raised in Northern Indiana and now lives near Mishawaka High School. She and Mike have 2 girls. Ruthie is a student at John Young Middle School and Allie is at Beiger Elementary. They have recently adopted a puppy named Coal. Their family enjoys being outdoors and likes to visit parks and go camping.
