Men's Retreat

Epic's Men's Retreat is a chance to get away from the busyness of life, rest, recover, and connect with others.

Dates: October 2-3, 2026

Location: Tru by Hilton 5185 Cork St. Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (just under 1.5 hour from Epic)

Cost: King Room-$185, 2 people in queen room-$116

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
-Check in starts at 3:00pm on Friday, October 2; retreat will start with dinner at 6:00 pm.
-Retreat ends at approximately 6:00pm on Saturday, October 3 after some group activity time, with the option of breaking into dinner groups at your own expense.
-Time to relax and enjoy the outdoor area, including a fire pit.
-Within 15 minutes of Red Arrow Golf Course for those interested. Dress is casual, no tee times, and low cost courses designed for quick play.
 
WHAT TO PACK/BRING:
-Bible (if you have one...we'll have extra if you don't have your own)
-Flashlight if you want it for campfire time Friday evening
-Equipment for any outdoor games you enjoy (to use during free time)

Men's Retreat Speaker: Pastor Dennis Owens

Pastor Dennis (Denny) Owens currently serves as Lead Pastor at Sterling First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling, IL. Pastor Denny has pastored churches from 40 to over 600 in attendance in Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Illinois. Pastor Denny was a public-school teacher before becoming a pastor and coached many different sports.

Pastor Denny is married to Jody and they have 3 adult children, 3 wonderful in-law kids and 11 awesome grandkids. Pastor Denny serves on the Advisory Board for his District and is also the chairman of the Board of Ministry. He and Jody are a team in ministry and love the church and love people. Pastor Denny has a passion to see people take the “Next Right Steps” in following Jesus. He loves sports of almost any kind and played basketball in college at Olivet Nazarene University.
